Pong for TV
The television has become a piece of technology that dominates the visual environment, significantly altering reality. Nam June Paik foresaw that the cathode-ray tube would gradually replace the painter’s canvas. In 1963, he presented a work consisting of a television in which the image on the screen was reduced to a single line. Sixty years later, I reinterpret this theme by adding the game Pong, as an expression of entertainment that disturbs the stillness of the Zen line.
